Moving in St. Cloud
St. Cloud sits on the southern shore of East Lake Tohopekaliga in northern Osceola County, about 26 miles southeast of Orlando. The city was founded in the 1900s as a place for Union army veterans, and still has a compact historic downtown with Lakefront Park, a heritage museum and a restored depot. Newer subdivisions have spread north and east along the county roads. Toro Movers is a family-owned Orlando-area company, founded in 2024, and our crews work in English and Spanish.
Different parts, different plans
Central St. Cloud is the downtown core, with older homes on a grid and Anthem Park nearby. Anthem Park is an established community with resort-style amenities and both an HOA and a CDD, so the association will have specific rules about trucks and moving hours.
Stevens Plantation is quieter and estate-style, with larger lots. Large lots usually mean a long driveway and a longer carry from the truck.
The north and west side, including Narcoossee and the Lakeshore area, is newer and closer to Lake Nona. Canoe Creek Crossings, for example, is newer construction north of Nolte Road with a mandatory HOA. In these areas, the streets may be new, and navigation apps lag, so give us a landmark.
Sunbridge and Weslyn Park are newer master-planned communities, and Harmony is a quieter master-planned community with golf, lakes and trails.
Routes
US 192 and US 441 are the main arterials. Florida's Turnpike has an interchange in St. Cloud, which gives a fast route north. County roads such as CR 523, CR 532, CR 534 and CR 525 connect the newer neighborhoods. For Orlando, most trips use the Turnpike or US 192 to Kissimmee.
