Moving in West Orlando
West Orlando on this page is MetroWest, Pine Hills, the Kirkman Road corridor, and the streets around Universal Orlando. MetroWest is a master-planned community southwest of downtown, with houses, condominiums, apartments, and a golf course along MetroWest Boulevard. Pine Hills is an unincorporated census-designated place to the northwest, along Pine Hills Road and Silver Star Road. Kirkman Road is State Road 435. Toro Movers is family-owned and started in 2024. Jobs can be booked in English or Spanish.
Some of these addresses are inside the City of Orlando. Pine Hills addresses are in unincorporated Orange County. A Pine Hills house may show Orlando on the mail even when the county, not the city, handles local services. For the move, the street and the building rules matter more than the city name on the envelope. Hiawassee Road runs through the middle of MetroWest if the address is past the golf course rather than on Kirkman.
Buildings, carports, and docks
MetroWest buildings often have a gate, a garage, or a controlled entry. Ask where the truck may stand and whether a gate list is required, and send that with the booking. Condominiums and apartments here usually need the floor and the elevator. A lot beside the golf course can mean a longer walk from the street than a downtown curb, so say which door you want used.
Pine Hills is a mix of single-family houses and apartments. Silver Star Road is State Road 438. Older houses may have a carport a box truck will not fit. Tell us if the stop has to be the curb on Pine Hills Road or Silver Star, and how far the walk is from that curb. Colonial Drive, State Road 50, runs along the south end of Pine Hills. Pine Hills Road runs north from Colonial Drive toward Silver Star Road. A house on that south side is often a carport and a curb, not a gate.
Around Universal, apartment and hotel-area buildings often use a loading dock or a set time window. Ask which door the crew must use and how long the dock is held. A job that is only a few furnished rooms is still an access job. The floor and the dock decide the time. An International Drive stop and a MetroWest garage are different arrivals, so say which door you want used.
Ocoee and Winter Garden are the next cities west. Dr. Phillips is south of MetroWest. A move between West Orlando and either of those, or back to Orlando, is a local hop when both stops stay in Central Florida.
Roads on the west side
State Road 408 crosses the west side toward Florida's Turnpike and is the tolled path when the other stop is downtown or farther east. Kirkman Road continues south toward Conroy Road. The Mall at Millenia sits near Interstate 4 and Conroy Road. It is a landmark for the MetroWest and Kirkman streets, not a delivery address. Weekday peaks on Interstate 4 and Kirkman Road are slow. If the building or the dock gave you a morning window, that is the arrival to book. A MetroWest gate that only opens for a listed time will not wait out an afternoon backup on I-4.

How the job is booked
Door-to-door work, with the truck included, fits a MetroWest house or a Pine Hills home when the other address is also in Central Florida. Labor-only fits the day you already have a U-Haul or a POD in the driveway or at the dock. The apartment details matter most for a Universal-area building or a MetroWest condominium with a reserved elevator. Packing is an add-on for rooms that are not boxed yet. Use the Orlando page when you are choosing among neighborhoods, and the Ocoee or Winter Garden page when that is the other stop.
