Florida's Turnpike runs the Osceola and west Orange side. State Road 417 loops the east, past Lake Nona and Oviedo. State Road 429 is the west belt, through Horizon West and toward Apopka. State Road 50 ties Clermont to Winter Garden and Ocoee. US 192 is the Kissimmee and Celebration road. After the move in Central Florida
Outdoor Fun
After you settle in Central Florida, get outside. Lake Louisa State Park, south of Clermont on US Highway 27, has lake shore and trails on the west side of the region. It is a quieter hour than US 192 on a holiday week.
Want a paved path instead? The Cross Seminole Trail runs through the north side of the region. It is a trail, not a freeway shoulder, and it stays closer to home than a drive down Interstate 4.
Rest & Relaxation
Moving day is a lot. When the heavy work is done, stay off Interstate 4. A shaded park in the city you just moved to is the simpler stop while Toro Movers finishes the last rooms.
Dining Out
Once the crew is done and the keys are in, eat in the town you landed in. Prato, at 124 N Park Avenue in Winter Park, is one table on the north side. A meal along US 192 in Kissimmee is closer than driving back across the region.
