Elevator & COI checklist. Reserve the freight or service elevator before move day and ask whether the building wants pads on the cab walls. Share the reservation window, the floor, and whether you must use a service entrance. If the property requires a certificate of insurance (COI), send the manager’s name, email, any required wording, and the deadline with your booking. Loading dock / parking rules. High-rises often use a reserved dock or a timed loading zone instead of curbside parking. Tell us whether the truck must use the dock, a service alley, or a guest spot, and how far the carry is from that spot to the elevator. A dock shared with deliveries, or a zone that expires mid-move, adds time on the clock. Street-only buildings need a plan for where the truck sits and how long it can stay.
